Set in a series of lush environments, APICO uniquely combines resource gathering, biology, and beekeeping minigames, taking ideas from a mix of real-life and fantasy apiculture + floriculture.

TNgineers are a small UK-based indie studio made up Ell (ellraiser) and their brother, Jamie (metakitkat). Started in 2020, they've always wanted to make video games - thanks to COVID of all things - a shift in Ell's working life meant they could actually make that dream a reality.

Ell works on the development and art for the games, while Jamie works on the design and writing. their first game, APICO was released in 2022, with their second game Snacktorio slated for a demo release in 2023.

A chunk of all game sales is given to charity - for APICO it's bee, pollinator, and conservation charities, for Snacktorio this will be food-bank and homeless charities.

We want to try and do some good with our platform even if it's teeny tiny! As such we will be donating a chunk of all game profits to various charities.

Donations will be made sporadically, there's a bunch of charities we would like to work through as well as various charity events / streams / GDQ! For APICO, donations are made to bee, beekeeping, pollinator and conservation-based charities.

For Snacktorio donations will be made to various food charities and foodbanks.

APICO - stylised 'APICO' - is inspired by our love of old Minecraft mods, as well as casual and crafting simulation games. We wanted to make something relaxing, intriguing, and semi-educational - just don't think about the Water Bees!

Development was started in June 2020, with a first demo being released at the end of August 2020. The game was released on May 20th, 2022, to coincide with World Bee Day. There are 3 major content updates planned to be released. The first of these, I Can't Beelieve It's Not Butterflies!, was released at the end of 2022.

Bees are integral to our gameplay, as they are to our real-world ecosystem. As part of our charity efforts we will be donating a portion of the money we make towards national and international bee, beekeeping, pollination + conservation charities.

Snacktorio - is inspired by our love of old Minecraft mods, as well as factory games like Satisfactory and Factorio (who actually blessed the name choice!). We're obsessed with automation games but hated that the theme was also just generic sci-fi, so instead decided to make the theme about mass-producing food so you could literally 'feed the beast'.

Development was started in 2021 on and off alongside APICO, once APICO was finally released focus shifted fully to Snacktorio. In 2023 the game was moved to the LOVE engine, and a demo is planned to release towards the end of Q4 2023.

Rift Breach was a small game made in 3 weeks as part of a personal game jam by Ell. Taking inspiration from roguelikes, dungeon crawlers, and metroidvanias, they wanted to experiment with having the player themselves decide the layout of the dungeon, and how that would effect 'keys' being a resource.

Currently there is just a demo available, but there are plans to turn this into a full game in the future.

Mudborne started as a small week-long gamejam for #FletchFest, the result of which is the demo you can play over on Itch now!

A spiritual successor of sorts to my first game, APICO, Mudborne aims to dive more into genetics and focus on direct manipulation to find new species, while still bringing the same menu management & crafting minigames you all know and love - along with all the learning I've had making APICO!

Currently there is just the rough little demo available, but there are plans to turn this into a full game in the future if people enjoy it!
